A Week In Vietnam & Singapore

On our way to London we stopped over in Vietnam and Singapore for a week. It was nice to break the trip up rather than flying straight to London from Melbourne. It also helped us adjust to the 9 hour time difference between Melbourne and London a little better.

The week in Vietnam and Singapore was great. Our trip was split up pretty evenly between Saigon, Nha Trang and Singapore. We spent so much time eating it wasn’t funny. The food everywhere was just amazing especially the seafood which was always so fresh. I think I put on a couple of kilos haha. Anyways, check out some of the photos from the trip.

Back At Home In Melbourne

As some of you already know I’m now back in Melbourne. After super fun and interesting year in Vietnam I decided it was time to head back home. It was sad to say goodbye to all the great friends I had made in Vietnam but at the same time I’m excited and enthusiastic about beginning the next chapter of my life in Melbourne with my great friends and family.

To all the people I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to in Vietnam, I wish you all the best and hope to see you when I head back there for a holiday which will most likely be early next year some time.

So yeah, with that I’ll leave you with a photo of an spectacular sunset I took from my apartment in Binh Thanh district in my final weeks in Vietnam. Man, I’m sure going to miss that view.

Early Afternoon In Saigon

Well, I’ve already posted up two landscape photographs taken from my apartment of sunrise and sunset (blue hour to be more precise) in Saigon and thought it would be nice to make it a trio with one taken during the daylight hours.

This one was taken at 2:00pm today and although the colours aren’t as intense during the day it’s still a beautiful sight. I just love the look of the clouds.

Blue Hour In Saigon

At around 6:15pm today I looked out of the window of my apartment and noticed the sky was a beautiful blue colour so I just had to grab the digital camera and capture the moment.

The blue hour, as I just discovered today, comes from a French expression which refers to the hour between the daylight and darkness. So yeah, that’s why I titled this post ‘Blue Hour In Saigon’ just in case you were wondering.

A Saigon Sunrise

From time to time I end up going to bed just after sunrise after having a big night out on the town. An upside to this is I get to see some of the most spectacular sunrises from the 15th floor of my apartment in Binh Thanh district.

Check out the photo I took a couple of weeks ago with my Canon IXY 1000 digital camera. How cool is that!
