Andy Android Goes To Phuket

A couple of weeks ago I came back from an awesome holiday in Phuket and Kuala Lumpur with my girlfriend and five friends. It was so good to get away from the freezing Melbourne winter which seems colder this year than I remember it.

In Phuket we did snorkelling, bungee jumped at World Bungy in Patong and did a little shooting at the Phuket Shooting Range. We also went to see the Simon Cabaret “ladyboys” show. I must admit a couple of the ladyboys were so attractive that you just couldn’t tell that they weren’t women. It was so bizarre.

The food was one of the things I enjoyed most about this trip. The seafood in Phuket was fresh, cheap and plentiful. Well, cheap by Western standards anyway. I didn’t hold back at all on the lobster and mud crab. It was so delicious.

The last leg of the trip was a three day stopover in Kuala Lumpur before heading back home. Shopping and food are the two things I love most about KL. We also ate at the revolving restaurant in KL Tower, officially called the Menara Kuala Lumpur. The food wasn’t that great but the view of the city certainly was.

I’ll finish up with a photo of Andy Android, beautifully made by my girlfriend, Xuan. The shot was taken at World Bungy in Patong, Phuket.

Holidaying In Phuket, Thailand

I just had a fantastic holiday in Phuket with a couple of mates, David and Nghia. First we stayed at the Thavorn Beach Hotel which was amazing but a little bit too far from the hustle and bustle of Patong beach (namely the Thaweewong and Bangla Road areas) so moved to the Patong Beach Hotel right in the heart of where the action was. Now we were in walking distance of all the restaurants, bars and shops which was heaps better.

Apart from the boozing and partying at night we also did a few tours. Most of our tours were in and around the Phang Nga area. There we road the ATVs (All terrain vehicles), went white water rafting, elephants treking, sea canoing and we even braved the bungy at World Bungy in Patong Beach. Now that was an experience I’ll never forget! Anyways, here are some of the photos from the trip.

Nghia has just compiled a YouTube video of the Thailand trip. It’s pretty funny.

A Few Days In Bangkok

At the end of August I headed off to Bangkok from my new adopted home of Ho Chi Minh city for 3 nights to meet up with some friends from Melbourne that were there on holiday. Here are a few pictures from the trip.
