Mt Buller Day Trip

It was my third and most likely my last snow trip for the season yesterday. It was me, Nghia, David, Stoj, Bien and Huy who made the drive up to Mt Buller for the day to hit the slopes and sharpen our snowboarding skills. Great weather made the average conditions all the better. The snow coverage was a bit patchy and the snow a little sluggish. Still, the warm and sunny weather made it all good.

So yeah it was a great day of boarding without any nasty falls. We even all gave the rail park a go this time. Now that was fun. Check out the group photo below which was taken at the end of the day when we were all pretty buggered.

My First Snow Trip This Season

I headed up to Mt Buller yesterday with David and Nghia for my first snow trip of the season since coming back from Vietnam and man was it a blast. It wasn’t windy, the skies were blue and the visibility was excellent. I couldn’t have hoped for better conditions.

I thought I’d be a little unco on the board with it being my first day of the season and all but to my surprise I managed quite well. The snow was a little slushy softened up by the sun and warmish weather so the slowish conditions sure helped. So yeah, all in all it was a mad day. Check out the photos.

Snowboarding Hits & Misses 2006

As most of you now know, I’m now residing in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Yes, I came back again. I’ll talk more about that another time.

Anyways, I just wanted to share a video compilation I made of a few of us boys (Jeryl Cabantog, David Thai, Kham Tran, Nghia Vu) snowboarding at Mt Buller this year. Don’t we rock?

Alternatively, instead of playing the video directly from this page you can chose to download it manually.
