Cute Little Squirrel In Westferry Circus Gardens

I was walking through Westferry Circus Gardens today in Canary Wharf and saw this little squirrel scavenging for food in the trash bin and hopping around as squirrels do. I snapped away with my camera trying to get a few decent shots in which is never easy with squirrels since they rarely stay still for long.

We don’t have squirrels in Australia, just possums so I always get a little excited whenever I see them in the parks around London. They’re such cute little creatures.

I live in the States, and squirrels are quite common here in many areas. I enjoy feeding them and watching their antics. We have possums also, and I definitely would not call them “cute!”

    Nice blog!

Oh no I meant to the squirrels are cute, definitely not the possums. They can look a bit scary at night with their red eyes.

feed them peanuts.. you’ll have them taking them off your hands..or like one did last year.. chase after me. I’d put a few in the palm of my hand..and fist my hand loosely.. they’ll grab your hand and try to open it and take the nuts.
    you’ll get gorgeous pix then.
