Sheraton Saigon Buffet Dinner

For Bien and Le Thuy’s second last night here in Saigon we decided to spoil ourselves with a lavish buffet dinner at the Saigon Cafe, a buffet restaurant on the 1st floor of the Sheraton Saigon Hotel. Man, this place never disappoints! Everything was so good. Bien and Le Thuy couldn’t get enough of the oyster mornay which was totally delish. The mud crab was also totally amazing. Between the three of us I think we downed a total of four or five crabs. We should have taken more photos of all the other amazing dishes that we ate but we were all too involved with eating we didn’t want to make time.

Anyways, check out the photos. And we were only able to make time to take the dessert shots ‘cause we were all pretty full by then. Haha, we sure did stuff ourselves that night.

Wow, I forgot that the Sheraton has a buffet. We should meet there sometime.

Man, the food is totally unbelievable there. I’ve been told by many that it’s the best five star buffet in Saigon.

How much does it cost per person?

It costs about 540,000 VND (USD$33.00) per person including wine. So yeah, a bit on the expensive side when it comes to buffets in Saigon but well worth the experience in my opinion.

That’s expensive even compared to a sushi buffet in Boston, MA, which is only $26/person. I went back to Vietnam last April. I was only there for 3 weeks so I didn’t get to go to too many places.

Yes, I agree it is expensive especially for Vietnam but the food is very good and very fresh. The selection of dishes is also very big. I still find it very good value compared to the seafood buffets available in Australia. Also, not many places will serve all you can eat mud crab. That’s one of the biggest differences.
