Christmas In Vietnam

Christmas is absolutely crazy in Vietnam! Well, it is in Ho Chi Minh City anyway. It’s like everyone just comes out and crams into the city all at once with motorbikes and all. In some places you can’t even move without having to wade through a seemingly endless ocean of people. It’s like a mix of New Years Eve in the Melbourne city and the Lunar New Year festival at Footscray Park all at once. Totally crazy! Check out the photos below.

The third photo gives you a glimpse of how it’s like and that’s just with me standing on the outskirts. It’s like 20 times worse in the middle of it all. It’s that full on but it really needs to be seen to be believed. The first photo was taken a few days before Christmas near my apartment. Gives you an idea of how it is around where I live. The second photo is of the Shadow Pub (A bar that I regularly visit) Christmas cake. The cake was a 1 metre long fat log. That photo doesn’t show how big this thing really was. It wasn’t bad tasting either. Anyways, I’m off to bed. Hope all you guys had a great Christmas. I sure had an interesting one.

Sorry about the quality of the photos. They were taken on my camera phone.
